Commenting on the announcement of his re-election bid, Cllr Wayne Strutton said;
"I first stood for election in Haymill & Lynch Hill in 2011 because I wanted to improve the provision of our local services, and to be a strong voice for my residents. I am honoured to have had the faith of my fellow residents of Haymill & Lynch Hill over the past 10 years.
This past year has undoubtedly been tough. However, I have been overwhelmed by the community spirit in our ward, such as the determination of The Haymill Support Group, as well as many others. It has been fantastic to see our residents pulling together in these tough times, and I for one have enjoyed being part of these efforts to help the less fortunate in our community.
Being a strong local Conservative voice has meant holding this Council to account; whether this be the Council's disastrous implementation of the A4 bus lane, the anti-resident housing policy pursued by Slough Labour, or the financial mismanagement of the Council. I have always sough to be a strong local voice for our community; improving parking facilities, protecting our green spaces and fighting for better local services for you and your families.
So today, I am asking you once again, to place your faith in me- be your strong local Conservative voice".
